The Gallaghers Are ‘Growing Up’ In the NEW Promo For ‘Shameless’ Season 9

Lip is rocking a low-cut. Debbie is into girls. Ian hates Fiona. And Frank is Frank. Some things are evolving for our favorite dysfunctional family and other things are remaining the same for the Gallagher gang on Showtime’s Shameless. 

The season 9 premiere of Shameless is less than a week away and we’re still getting promos sharing insight on what to expect in the new season and premiere episode, “Are you there Shim? It’s me, Ian.”

“Growing up” is the theme of the latest promo giving glimpses of Lip struggling with sobriety and being an unofficial foster dad, Frank is getting into politics, Debbie is in an interracial relationship with a woman, Ian has gone Mickey Milkovich with the black hair, and an eerie voice over by Emmy Rossum’s Fiona (“He doesn’t need me. I don’t know if any of them do) reminds us that this is her last season.

Shameless season 9 premieres Sunday, Sept. 9 on Showtime.
