Dakota Johnson Enters Eerie Dance Company in ‘Suspiria’ Remake

Dakota Johnson is leaving behind the whips and chains for witches and covens in her next anticipated project “Suspiria,” directed by Luca Guadagnino (“Call Me by Your Name”).

The movie is a remake of the 1977 film about an American dancer who enters the demanding world of a prestigious dance company. Things become sinister within the company as gruesome murders began to take everyone off their game.

During Cinema Con towards the end of April “Suspiria” made a big splash on social media with many talking about a disturbing scene that many audience members couldn’t handle. Sounds like my sort of horror film! So I attempted to watch the original and I could not get past the first few minutes. Talk about a snooze. Hopefully this updated version will be more watchable and I’ll try to view the original again before seeing this one.

Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Jessica Harper and Chloe Grace Moretz all appear in the film along with Johnson.
