Nicki Minaj Is Back On The Music Scene With TWO New Singles And Lyric Video

Nicki Minaj came back on the music scene on Thursday, April 12th; a day that fans have proclaimed as “Nicki Day.” The long absence of music brought two new singles (“Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li”), a lyric video, a teaser for an actual video, and an interview with Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio.

Minaj’s lack of social media presence only means she’s been busy in the studio. An alleged documentary is slated to coincide with an upcoming album. “I wanted to make sure I was writing something that was meaningful to me and that would inspire and that would captivate my audience. But most importantly, I wanted to have fun again,” Minaj said about making new music.

I must say I’m not really vibing with the new Nicki records. I’m a beat girl and none of the beats for either of the songs have grabbed me. We’ll have to wait and see how future records will sway me.
