Listen up American Horror Story fans because I got some casting news for you!
At an Emmy For Your Consideration, FYC, event over the weekend, AHS series creator Ryan Murphy severed as moderator for a panel discussion with member of AHS: Cult to dissect the past season and dish on the forthcoming one; season 8. Sarah Paulson, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Billy Eichner and Leslie Grossman were all in attendance at the panel and have been slated to ALL return for the next season.
Fans of the show know we get little to NO information about what’s to come and season 8 is no different. However, Murphy did spill a little tea at the FYC panel. The current king and queen of AHS Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, who are the only ones who have appeared in EVERY season of the series, will make their directorial debut in AHS 8 with production starting around June 16th. And luckily my FAVORITE season Coven will be sort of in the next season.
“Unlike Cult‘s more grounded story, the next season will be “heightened. It’s not necessarily as real and grounded as the past season. We’re sort of getting back to Asylum and Coven. It’s that tone. That’s the tone of it,” Ryan Murphy said. He also spilled that famed Dynasty actress Joan Collins will be playing Evan Peters’ grandmother and he will be playing a comedic role of a hairdresser. Kathy Bates will also be returning and Anjelica Huston is in talks for casting. AHS season 8 is LIT!
