Experience How The “American Tradition” Started In ‘The First Purge’ [TRAILER]

Back in 2013 “The Purge” franchise was born. The thriller depicted a world where once a year all crime would be legal, including murder, for a slated amount of time. A year later “The Purge: Anarchy” was released furthering the story with an element of a revolution brewing. The films took a brief hiatus until 2016 when “The Purge: Election Year” came out with the premise of ending the purge once and for all. Now, a new film for the franchise will be out in a few months which will take us back to when and how the night of horror first started.

In “The First Purge,” events leading up to the first night of commencement will be shown. A first look at the movie dropped in January with a teaser trailer making the purge seem like something America desperately needed. The first official trailer is here and things are going to get crazy.

Luna Lauren Velez, Marisa Tomei, Y’lan Noel,Steve Harris, Mo McRae, Melonie Diaz, and Lex Scott Davis all appear in “The First Purge,” in theaters July 4, 2018.
