Ellen Tries To Figure Out What’s Making Mandy Moore Cry In Hilarious Game

These days Mandy Moore is known for her role as Rebecca Pearson on the tear jerking NBC series This Is Us, so Ellen DeGeneres played a game with her when she stopped by the show on Thursday to see what things she could make sound sad.

In a special version of Speak Out, a game where you insert a contraption in your mouth that opens it wide and makes it hard to speak correctly and players must make out the phrase you’re trying to say, DeGeneres played “Why Mandy Moore Is Crying,” where Moore said phrases for the talk show host to guess.

“He bumped me with his burrito,” and “Britney Spears popped my balloon” were two of the phrases recited, but it was “The donkey bucked my mom” that sent Ellen, Mandy, and the audience over the edge with laughter.
