Janelle Monáe Brings Ultimate Prince Vibes To “Make Me Feel” Record

Only thing missing is a Prince signature “oooh.” Janelle Monáe brings ultimate vibes of the late androgynous musician in the visual for “Make Me Feel,” which dropped Thursday, February 22. “Make Me Feel” is the lead single off Monáe’s upcoming Dirty Computer album,

In the music video, directed by Alan Ferguson and featuring “Thor: Ragnarok” actress Tessa Thompson, Monáe doubles herself as an enticing, sexual prowess as she puts on an eye-catching performance singing lyrics like:”It’s like I’m powerful with a little bit of tender/An emotional, sexual bender/Mess me up, yeah, but no one does it better/There’s nothin’ better.”

Monáe also dropped a video for “Django Jane,” another single off the album. This song could easily be a black girl magic anthem.

Dirty Computer  is slated to drop April 27th and will be “an emotion picture” by the singer.  In case you’re wondering Janelle describes an “emotion picture” as “a narrative film and accompanying musical album.”
