Super Bowl Sunday. Philadelphia Eagles vs. New England Patriots. Right?
You must know I’m no fan of football, or any sport for that matter, but I love my hometown and I’m Eagles all the way! This weekend on Saturday Night Live the sketch comedy show took a unique way at putting the rivals of Super Bowl LII against one another in the “Revolutionary War” skit where viewers went back in time to 1775 Philadelphia.
The Patriots from New England (Natalie Portman, Rachel Dratch, Alex Moffat, Heidi Gardner, and Luke Null) confidently interrupted a meeting of colony representatives to boast about their side being the best and praising captain Thomas Brady, aka quarterback for the New England Patriots Tom Brady. The celebration didn’t last too long when the Philadelphians (Tina Fey, Mikey Day, and Kenan Thompson) came through to argue why their side was indeed the best and they were ready for a fight.
Who will come out on top tonight?
Watch the Patriots from New England and Philadelphians argue who is best in the “Revolutionary War” sketch from Saturday Night Live in the clip below. Share your thoughts in the comments and who you think will win Super Bowl LII.
