A week ago Jay Z dropped the anticipated visual for his latest single “Family Feud” off his 4:44 album exclusively on his streaming music service TIDAL. Now the music video is available for all to see, clearly and in its entirety, if you are not a member of TIDAL.

“Family Feud” is a mini movie on the lines of a Michael Jackson era telling the tale of an America divided and how things can get better in the future if the family, Americans, don’t feud. It opens up with a quote from James Baldwin that reads, “The wretched of the earth do not decide to become extinct, they resolve, on the contrary, to multiply: life it their weapon against life, life is all that they have.” We then jump to 2444 where a family scandal rocks the legacy of the current president.

Other years visited in the video are 2148, 2096, 2050, and finally to 2018. At the 5:30 mark the song actual starts and depicts the Carter family: Jay Z, Beyonce, and Blue Ivy in a church as Jay raps his verse and Bey sings her vocals.

Directed by Ava DuVernay and co-written with Jay, the visual features an all-star cast such as: Michael B. Jordan, Thandie Newton, Trevante Rhodes, Jessica Chastain, David Oyelowo, Brie Larson, Niecy Nash, Omari Hardwick, Rashida Jones, Mindy Kaling, Rosario Dawson, and more.
