The reboot of the 1995 film “Jumanji,” “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” comes out in theaters tomorrow, December 20th, so before the memory of the beloved film is altered Screen Junkies gives all the 90’s feels and addresses what really went down in the Robin Williams film with a new Honest Trailer.
A board game movie that rivals “Clue” comes to life with Williams starring as Alan Parrish, who gets trapped in the board game Jumanji as a kid and is later released 20 something years later when Judy (Kirsten Dunst) and Peter (Bradley Pierce) are playing in the very home Alan grew up and disappeared in. Later enlisting the help of Alan’s childhood crush Sarah (Bonnie Hunt), the foursome must finish the game to end the wild effects of Jumanji.
In the Honest Trailer, Screen Junkies helps us realize just how scary the film was, the depressing undertones of the plot, and all the gun control shade we didn’t pick up as children.
