Alexz Johnson Releases Eclectic ‘A Stranger Time’ Album

Back in 2004 I fell in love with the voice of Canadian singer/songwriter/actress Alexz Johnson on The N’s music based series Instant Star, where the starlet played a regular teen girl who won a singing competition and became the title of the show, an instant star. On the series Johnson sung all her own vocals and wrote many of the songs that were later released on albums for the show.

Fast forward many years and albums/EP’s later and Johnson is at the top of her game with the release of her latest project A Stranger Time, which dropped on Friday, September 1st.

The album contains 9 tracks with her single “Right Now” leading the bunch. Songs like “Breathe,” which is the first song on the album, and “Careless” have already grown to be fan favorites. I personally love the lead single, “Never Love Me Back,” and “Dangerous Mind.” The entire album in itself is a beautiful blend of Alexz’ voice, her growth as an artist, and an eclectic range of pop, country, and bluesy vibes. Definitely worth a listen and for sure a purchase.
