Taylor Swift dropped a new single called “Look What You Made Me Do” off her upcoming studio album Reputation, which will release later this year, and its been the topic of conversation for the past few days.
I for one am not a fan of the song, but true Swifties have been living for the track. It quickly went to number one and the video hasn’t even dropped yet, only a lyric video. Swift’s Reputation album will drop November 10th and is said to have 15 tracks and will include a 72 page magazine featuring poetry from the artist with the Target purchase. Now that you have all the facts let’s get into the shade.
First up, some insane people were comparing Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” to Beyonce’s “Formation” video when an image dropped from the upcoming video. I don’t understand why people feel that way, but of course the memes were in abundance.
Another big thing about the single was who was Taylor speaking about. Who in fact made her do this? Many speculated that Kanye West was the man behind the single after the two have a very public beef about the “Famous” track. Some people felt it was even shadier that Taylor’s Reputation album would be releasing on the anniversary of West mother’s death. Coincidence? Or serious shade? I honestly think people are reaching so far with this new single. Let Taylor have her mediocre single in piece.
