In news I wasn’t expecting, but am slightly intrigued, The Jetsons is apparently coming, again, to a small screen near you with some live action realness.

On Thursday, it was announced that the Hanna-Barbera futuristic cartoon would get a live action pilot set to air on ABC. The cartoon series originally aired in 1962 and followed the adventures of George Jetson, his boy Elroy, daughter Judy, and Jane his wife in what many believed was the year 2062. Back in the 60’s the show aired 24 episodes, then was later revived in 1985 for 41 more and put out a movie in 1990.

Now this could work if it channels the likes of the 1994 The Flinstones live action movie, and NOT the Vegas one, and if casting is on point. I think it will be interesting to see how this series would be adapted in the live action format, but I have no clue who I would want to see bring these characters to life. I think a known actor should play George, then the rest can be up and comers. Since The Jetsons is part of my childhood I will for sure check out a pilot episode. Will you?

What do you think about live action The Jetsons coming to ABC? Will you be watching this show? Who do you think would do great in these roles? Share your thoughts in the comments.
