Taraji P. Henson Plays Kick-Ass Assassin In ‘Proud Mary’

Move aside Beatrix Kiddo because there’s a new kiss-ass assassin with a vendetta to settle and her name is Mary.

Taraji P. Henson stars in the upcoming action thriller “Proud Mary” as a slick, sexy assassin attempting to have a normal life. Henson plays the title character Mary who meets a young boy that makes her question her current life path as she taps into her maternal instincts.

In the trailer, with the back drop music of Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary,” we see Mary getting suited up to kill, disguising herself  to do a “job,” and going up against other killers. This is definitely a role like something we’ve never seen Taraji in before. Neal McDonough, Billy Brown, and Danny Glover also star in the movie.
