Sklyer, Madison, Levi, and CaseyJones compile the up and coming Pop-Rock band BRO4. Born and raised in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, the group made up of brothers is not your typical boy band. The boys love for music started at a very early age. They use to have “family nights” as children every Sunday where they would play board games and watch movies, but it was the karaoke aspect of those nights that sparked an eventual career.

Music has been a career path for generations in the BRO4 family, their father and grandfather both were in bands, so it makes sense that stardom is inevitable for the boys. This year BRO4 was invited to perform at the 2017 White House Easter Egg Roll, they have multiple singles under their belt(“Brusies” and “Sorry Not Sorry”), and a new EP in the works. BRO4 is using their platform to speak positive influence into the lives of their young fan base and spoke with GGB in an exclusive interview about the stuff they have coming up.

On being compared to other boy bands: “It doesn’t really bother us when people are all like, ‘oh One Direction or the Beatles,’ it doesn’t really bother us. It’s like a cool comparison. We understand the association because we do the whole boy band thing, the instruments, the whole nine. We always kind of looked at it like they did their thing and now we’re doing our own thing.”

On what makes BRO4 different: “We are brothers. We are a boy band. We do all sing, but we also all play instruments and we also all dance. Growing up, we tried to be versatile and do all different things. We got to a point where we now got a set where we’ll be off instruments singing, classic boy band style, but then we’ll throw the crowd off by hoping on instruments. We all can play any of the instruments we each play.”

On what inspires the band: “Our dad was a big, big influence on our music now because he had a band with his brothers too and our grandpa also had a band with his brothers. He’s one of the inspirations for the sound we decided to take.”

On ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ single: “Sorry not Sorry, we took a different approach to that one because we do a lot of anti-bully work and we’re very adamant in the anti-bully community. We want to help people with problems of their own. So when we created “Sorry not Sorry,” it was a little bit of confusion. Sorry not Sorry is an approach on leaving your relationship if you’re not being treated the way you should be treated. If you’re in a relationship and you’re not happy, you deserve more. If that person is putting you down, you shouldn’t be in the relationship like that. You should find a way out and not just find a way out, but unapologetically make sure you end that relationship.”

On what fans can expect on upcoming EP: “Expect a selection of sounds that are going to be interesting. It’s going to be a little bit of everything. It’s going to be a dance song, some mid tempo songs to vibe to, some ballads. It’s going to be good catchy music that everyone can get along with and a lot of topics touched on.”

After the EP comes out BRO4 is going overseas to promote the album and have a couple of dates in the states. There’s also a video coming out for the new single. Keep up with BRO4 on social media @BRO4ROCKS all across the board.
