Holy Makavelli Big Poppa! What were Kendall and Kylie Jenner thinking? Like seriously what were they thinking. This was NOT, nor ever will there be, a good time for them to capitalize off iconic rappers merged with their likeness, but let me back track if you have no idea what I’m talking about.

Earlier today a stream of images flooded the internet of a photo of Kylie Jenner overlapping a notable photo of the late rapper Tupac on a concert T-shirt type design. An Instagram photo of her at that, *insert eye roll emoji here.* Kendall Jenner‘s photo was placed on top of Biggie’s. To be honest I really thought the photos were fake. I could not believe these girls were really selling these poorly crafted T-shirts, but they were real and in for some real dragging. First up, the mother of the late rapper Biggie Smalls aka Christopher Wallace, Voletta Wallace.

On Instagram Biggie’s mother was having no parts of the product and proceeded to blast the girls. She wrote, “I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful , disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!”

The girls also had plans to use images of Metallica, Pink Flyod, and other notable artists in their line, but after several cease and desist letters they were forced to pull the line.

Kylie Jenner wrote an apology on Twitter that read , “These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of that artists. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as on opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry.”

What do you think about this Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner T-shirt mix up? Harmless, naive mistake or have these girls gone too far for a buck? Share your thoughts in the comments.
