Get Your First Look At The Shady and Glamorous World of The CW’s ‘Dynasty’

In a world where everyone has secrets to hide and everyone wants the top position, in more ways than one, The CW’s upcoming program Dynasty – an up-to-date reboot of the iconic 1980’s soap opera – brings just as much shade and glam as the original, and do I dare say puts the nasty in Dynasty.

The first look at Dynasty came during The CW’s upfronts presentation that took place today in New York City. Cast members Nathalie Kelley, Liz Gillies, and James MacKay, who play Cristal Jennings, Fallon Carrington, and Steven Carrington respectively, were on site to represent the show. Shortly after, a first look at what to expect come this fall from the show was revealed.

Liz Gillies’ acting chops were on full display in the first look trailer as Fallon Carrington. Fallon is a perfect mix of Jade West’s viciousness and Gigi’s sexy, sassy side, both character’s Gillies played on Nick’s Victorious and FX’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. I sure do love me some Liz, so I’m all for this show come fall. The reboot of the show seems to follow a similar premise, a rich family who greatest problem is figuring out who gets to run the empire. It’s a bunch of backstabbing, hair pulling, shade throwing, and everything else that makes a soap opera interesting, but will it gain a big enough fan base this fall? We’ll have to wait and see, but GGB will have all the updates on the show and you know we’ll be live tweeting.
