FOX Cancels ‘Scream Queens’ After Two Seasons

It seems the real idiot hookers are the people over at FOX because the beloved comedy-horror anthology series Scream Queens has been cancelled only after two seasons.

The fate of the FOX show, which premiered in the fall of 2015, was up in limbo after a highly praised first season and second that fell flat, but even with a big TV name like Ryan Murphy behind it couldn’t save the show from being axed like The Red Devil or Green Meanie done it themselves.

FOX co-chairman and CEO Gary Newman said, “Scream Queens was an anthological series. It feels as if it was a compete story. We have no plans at this point to go back there and tell more stories so we won’t be seeing Scream Queens this season.” With statement it may be a glimmer of light we’d see more in the future, but maybe we shouldn’t hold our breath.

Scream Queens cast members like Jamie Lee Curtis and Nicey Nash expressed their sadness that the show wouldn’t continue, but since everyone is busy working on different projects I’m sure they’ll be fine. Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, and Billie Lourd are just some of the names from the show who have an eventful year coming up. Lourd even landed a role on another R. Murphy show, we’ll see her on AHS this fall. With all the shows Mr. Murphy has I’m sure we’ll see our queens of scream together in some capacity again.

Are you sad or surprised to hear FOX cancelled Scream Queens? Let me know and share your thoughts in the comments.
