Billie Lourd is trading in her signature earmuffs as Chanel #3 for a more sinister series and jumping Ryan Murphy projects. The Scream Queens actress will be a new cast member on the horror anthology show American Horror Story for the upcoming season.
Deadline revealed Lourd will be joining the seventh season of AHS leading opposite series regular Sarah Paulson. No details on the type of character any cast member will play, but a premise that’s been floating around about the new season follows the aftermath of the recent presidential election. The first episode is centered on Election Night. I know the state of this country is pretty scary right now, but I’m not sure how this will translate on screen. We’ll have to wait and see.
Along with Lourd being a newcomer, Billy Eichner (Billy on the Street/Parks and Recreation) will be joining the show with already announced AHS alum Paulson and Evan Peters.
