Prepare to live a life of glitz, glamour, and scandal in the CW’s reboot of 1980’s soap opera Dynasty because production for the show is officially underway. The reboot follows two of America’s wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, and their feud for control over their fortune and their children.
Liz Gillies (Victorious, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll) has been cast to play Fallon Carrington, the spoiled heiress, and teased a very glam first look at what we can expect from her character. On Twitter she posted a photo of a pair of fancy shoes that read “Dynasty has officially begin.” And if you’re worried at all if Gillies can pull off the dramatics of a soap opera just Google “I’m Thankful Everyday For You, Marilyn.”

The original Dynasty ran for nine seasons from 1981 -1989 and aired on ABC. Richard and Esther Shapiro, original creators, are back for the reboot as executive producers.
