Jennifer Lopez dropped by The Ellen Show on Tuesday and things got juicy when Lopez discussed her love life, well sort of.
JLo is currently doing a Las Vegas residency, on top of the other things she has on her plate. She performed on Valentine’s Day prompting Ellen DeGeneres to ask what she did Valentine’s night. Ellen asked who she spent the night with then asked if it was “this guy” after showing a photo on-screen of Drake and Miss Lopez snuggled up.
Since Drake is on tour, the two didn’t spend the romantic holiday together, but that didn’t stop Ellen from pushing the subject further. “But you were songwriting with him, right?” Ellen asked leading Jennifer to answer, “We did a song together if that’s what you’re asking.”
“He sent me a song that he wanted me to be on, and then I got on the song, yeah. We had a song together, I don’t know what he’s gonna do with it, but yeah,” Lopez added. Ellen then talked about how people make a big deal about Lopez dating younger men then she said, “Okay, first of all, stop, okay? I’m not. I don’t date younger men. It’s not like you have to younger, it’s not about that, I just meet people and then if I go out with them, I go out with them, and if I like them, I like them, and if I don’t, I don’t. It’s just there’s, it’s about the person, you know what I mean? It’s about who they are, it has nothing to do with age.”
Lopez mentioned dating her ex Beau and how she got labeled for only dating younger men. “For me it isn’t. It’s about the person, yeah. If there’s somebody older, they’re older, if they’re younger, they’re younger, it doesn’t matter. It’s whether or not I’m attracted to them or not, attracted to their spirit, their soul, whatever, their energy.”
During the chat JLo also chatted about rumors of performing for a Super Bowl halftime show and the return of American Idol.
