A Psycho Is Born In The Final Season of ‘Bates Motel’

Can I start this by saying I’m such a fan of the “Psycho” film, the 1960 original not that Anne Heche/Vince Vaughn mess, and I was very excited for A & E’s prequel series Bates Motel starring Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, and Nicola Peltz. But if I’m being honest I haven’t watched since the first season and that was back in 2013. Apparently I’ve missed a lot and need to binge this show like yesterday.

Now into season 5, the final season, and the Norman Bates (Highmore) we know, and secretly hate to admit we love, is really born having killed his mother Norma (Farmiga) at the end of season 4. In the teaser for the upcoming last season, fans of the show see exactly what made Norman Bates an iconic creepy character in the horror genre and what he has planned for dear old mom.

Bates Motel returns to A & E on February 20 at 10 p.m. ET.
