Meryl Streep was honored with the prestigious Cecil B. Demille Award on Sunday, January 8, during the 2017 Golden Globe Awards.

Presented by her colleague Viola Davis, Streep took the stage following a stellar montage of her body of work to deliver a speech that hands down was a highlight of the show. Streep went through a list of celebs and where they were from to emphasis how different we all are but with a common goal to create a better life for ourselves and the ones around us.
