Growing Pains patriach Alan Thicke has died at the age of 69 following a heart attack on Tuesday, December 13.
The news of Thicke’s passing broke headlines as he quickly became a trending topic along with the 1985 to early 1990’s sitcom he starred in. Thicke was playing hockey with his son Carter when he suffered a heart attack. He was transferred to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Alan’s son Carter went to social media to express his feelings following his dad’s passing. He uploaded a photo of the two with the caption, “Today I lost my best friend and my idol, and the world lost one of it’s finest. I have never known a more kind, loving, hairy, and generous person in my life and I am forever grateful for the light that this man brought to my life and so many others. You will be missed every second of every day. You are a legend and I love you Pops. Until next time.”
Alan Thicke is survived by his wife Tanya Callau, his son Brennan and singer/songwriter Robin Thicke. Condolences to the Thicke family and their loved ones during this difficult time. GGB’s prayers are with you.
