Billie Lourd is not only a queen of scream, but the Scream Queens actress who plays the beloved Chanel #3 on the hit FOX series is the third generation of a line of Hollywood queens. Many associate Lourd with being Carrie Fisher’s daughter, but her grandmother Debbie Reynolds wants more recognition when it comes to Billie’s career.
Lourd appeared on last night’s episode of Late Show with Seth Meyers and the two discussed how Billie’s grandmother wants to be mentioned more when Billie’s name is brought up. “Well first of all she gets really upset when I get called Carrie Fisher’s daughter. She wants people to call me Debbie Reynolds granddaughter. It’s very offensive to her,” Lourd said adding her grandmother doesn’t like being cut out of that equation.
Later Billie shared a story of how her grandmother tried to sway her away from acting, luckily for us it didn’t work.
