“The Christmas Candle” Is The Other Holiday Savior According To ‘SNL’

This weekend Emma Stone returned to Saturday Night Live to host the show with musical guest Shawn Mendes. Stone came in promotion for her December 8th film “La La Land” and delivered yet again in the hosting department.

In one sketch, Stone along with SNL cast members Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant dressed in I’m guessing 1980’s, maybe early 1990’s, attire as they sung “The Christmas Candle,” a song about the other “savior” of the holidays. The song was about that infamous candle we’ve all gotten at some point during the Christmas season for a gift. Trust, I’ve received a candle or two, so I get this song. The hilarious lyrics also pick up on another gift sometimes given .
