Lupita Nyong’o Attempts Stand Up Comedy on ‘Billy on the Street’

Lupita Nyong’o is an Oscar-winning actress most noted for her role in “12 Years a Slave,” but can she moonlight as a stand up comic in between gigs? Billy Eichner put that strange theory to the test in a clip from an upcoming episode of Billy on the Street. 

To prepare for the fictitious comedy special Lupita Nyong’o: Bring the Pain!, Eichner and Lupita Nyong’o went around the streets of New York to perform bits from Louie CK, Bob Saget, and Daniel Tosh’s real comedy specials for people on the street. Naturally, in the way Billy ambushes people, the reception ranged from those actually listening to Lupita to those who wanted nothing to do with it.
