Solange is black girl magic personified with the release of her latest work A Seat at the Table and visuals to go with two tracks from the album.

The 21 track album features collaborations with Sampha, The-Dream, and Kelela. The newly released visuals for the album, “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “Cranes in the Sky,” were a partnership between Solange and her husband Alan Ferguson in the creation. A Seat at the Table gives you that classic R&B feel with deep soul, bluesy influences.

On Instagram Solange shared a message with fans following the positive reception of the record. “When I first started writing this record I was tired, filled with grief, and feeling broken. I felt so many got to create my narrative and all I wanted to tell my story, our story, in my own words, and in my own voice. 4 years later I am completely overwhelmed and humbled with pride and GRATITUDE for all of the love I have received on #aseatatthetable . I’m actually stunned still. I can’t even put into words. Thank you all. I can’t thank you enough,” she wrote.

Watch “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “Cranes in the Sky” in the clips below. A Seat at the Table is available for digital download, pre-order for a physical copy (out November 18th), and streaming on Apple Music. Share your thoughts in the comments.
