Beyoncé appeared at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday in New York City and made everyone forget there were any other performers of the night.
When an announcement was made that “Beyoncé performs Lemonade in five minutes” I didn’t know they meant literally the album. Bey took the stage in a theatrical way performing a medley of: “Pray You Catch Me,” “Hold Up,” “Sorry,” “Don’t Hurt Yourself,” and “Formation” at Madison Square Garden.
The little over 15 minute performance included multiple costume changes, a variety of sets, and the incorporation of the spoken word from Bey’s Lemonade visual album. It was pretty epic.
