Teyana Taylor, Lil Mama and DeJ Loaf Pay Tribute To Lil Kim During VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Honors’

On Monday, July 11th, the 2016 VH1 Hip Hop Honors hailed and paid tribute to the queens of hip hop live from the Lincoln Center in New York City. Hosted by Eve, honorees this year included: Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot, Salt-N-Pepa featuring DJ Spinderella and Lil Kim.

The night was filled with many musical performances from an array of talent to showcase the many hits the women being honored had and the impact they made in the hip hop culture. But to honest there was one performance that stood out. Teyana Taylor, Lil Mama, DeJ Loaf, and The Lox were called on to pay homage to Lil Kim and they slayed, putting their spin on the original Queen Bee’s infamous verses.
