Jennifer Lopez takes on several versions of herself in the new, upbeat music video for “Ain’t Your Mama,” her latest single.
In “Ain’t Your Mama,” Lopez is seen in the opening having a conversation with her guy in a phone booth while it rains. The conversation is one-sided, but clearly JLo has had enough. She then enters some establishment called “LavAzza” as she preps to go on air to deliver a message, which ends up being the song. All the while voice over plays about women equality.
Throughout the video, Lopez plays a house wife, a secretary, some sort of political figure, a factory worker, a business executive, and then JLo realness while singing the lyrics about not cooking and cleaning all day for a man and demanding equality for women.
Not really a fan of the song but all I can say is “Yes Miss Lopez!” She looks great in this video and I like the concept of the different roles women take on and how men take advantage of those positions. But the song? Yeah it’s a no for me, but you tell me.
