Famed WWE Star Joanie “Chyna” Laurer Found Dead

Famed WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) entertainer Chyna, real name Joanie Laurer has been discovered dead at her California residence. She was 45.

To make this story even sadder, Laurer’s body was discovered by a friend a day after she actually passed. The friend went to check on Laurer Thursday, April 21, and found her unresponsive at her Redondo Beach, California residence. It was then made aware she died a day prior with no sign of foul play, according to police who were on the scene.

On the official website for Chyna a message read, “It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world as passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her.”

Chyna was one of the most noted female wrestling entertainers in the industry with a name that still rings bells years after leaving the industry. Members of the WWE world like Hulk Hogan and Triple H sent their condolences via social media about Chyna. Other celebs and fans did the same as an out pour of love flooded timelines for the departed.
