Nicki Minaj Talks About “The Boy That Likes” Her On Ellen Show Minaj Explains Why She Doesn't Do Relationship Titles

On Thursday’s The Ellen Show, Nicki Minaj stopped by to chat with Ellen DeGeneres and the two had an interesting conversation about where The Pinkprint artist stands with her relationship with rapper Meek Mill.

DeGeneres opened the interview asking to she Minaj’s “engagement ring,” a piece of jewelry gifted to Nicki by her “boyfriend” Mill. The big rocked was noticeably missing from Minaj’s hand leading to more questions about the status of her relationship with the Philadelphia native rapper who’s currently on house arrest.

“First of all that’s not an engagement ring right,” the 33-year-old cleared up to Ellen. She added, “I have two rings from this boy that likes me. He said that that’s my second ring and if I get a third ring that would be the engagement ring.” The two went on to discuss how Minaj isn’t ready to get engaged and that she and Meek are still “figuring each other out.”

Minaj also explained that she wants to her relationship, even though she doesn’t want to call it that, close and private to her because when its public people get mean. I can get that. Once you make things “official” that’s when you’re officially screwed, especially if you’re famous. If you don’t post certain things or boast about your significant other people assume you’re having issues. But the “boy who likes me” seems a little shady.
