I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not a “Ghostbusters” fan. I know the premise of the original, but I never saw it and have no plans to ever see it. The only reason I was on board with the 2016 “Ghostbusters” film is because Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones were involved. All funny ladies so the film should be good right?
Wrong! Well according to the internet, it’s very wrong. The all female cast reboot is not a fan favorite and seemed to overshadow the premiere of the trailer entirely because that’s all anybody could talk about, the all female cast. Based on the 1984 film written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, the reboot comes 30 years after the original with a cast of eccentric characters. The simple idea of the film remains the same. Four people set out to save the world from the supernatural.
“Ghostbusters” will be in theaters July 15, 2016. Watch the trailer below and share your thoughts in the comments.
