Back in the 1990’s Nickelodeon was about all game shows. I’m talking about really good game shows that were on my dream list to be a contestant. Legends Of The Hidden Temple, one of my fav game shows, put teams of two against one another to compete in physical challenges for a chance to enter Olmec’s Temple to earn the big prize. Now that concept in translating into a TV movie.
At the 2016 Nickelodeon Upfronts the news was announced among other programming to come to the station. The TV movie, called “Hidden Temple,” will follow three siblings facing a series of obstacles in order to stay alive, much like the game show. “Hidden Temple” will premiere in the fourth quarter of 2016 and will have many elements from the show like: Olmec – the talking head who gave players secrets to the temple, the Steps of Knowledge, and cameos from a green monkey, red jaguar, and silver snakes – aka what the teams were called on the show. Isabela Moner, Nick star from 100 Things to Do Before High School, will star in the Joe Menendez directed film, written by Jonny Umansky, Zach Hyatt, and Alex Reid.
