The ‘Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll’ Cast Sit Down For First Table Read Of Season 2

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll fans it’s happening! Not that we didn’t already know it was happening, but like it’s happening right now.

The gang is all here for the second season of the FX summer hit series SDRR. Thanks to social media yet again, we can see exactly what’s going down with the rock and roll group formerly known as The Heathens. The show is about a month into production with its first table read with the entire cast taking place today. Yes, Denis Leary, Elaine Hendrix, Liz Gillies, John Corbett, Robert Kelly, and John Ales are all present!

On Instagram Bam Bam (Kelly) posted a selfie with the cast captioned, “@sdrr season Two table read. #ithasbegun #fx #comedy.” Before that Denis Leary, series creator and who plays the lead Johnny Rock, shared behind the scenes looks at the cast in the recording studio gearing up for new music for the upcoming season. He captioned one photo, “SDRR studio week 3 – getting the band back together @robertkellylive @elaine4animals @lizgillz” and another “Week 2 Season 2 @sdrr studio sessions w @lizgillz & @gibsonguitar.”

Season 1 premiered last July with a 10 episode run lasting through mid September. The first season dealt with Johnny Rock (Leary) finding out her had a daughter named Gigi (Gillies) with ambitions to be a famous rock singer. This was Rock’s chance to finally get the fame he felt he deserved. Throughout the season there was drugs, sex, and good, original rock and roll songs performed by the cast.
