Keke Palmer Talks Partying With Diddy and ‘I Don’t Belong To You’ Video on The Ellen Show

Grease: Live actress Keke Palmer stopped by The Ellen Show in promotion for the upcoming live special event of “Grease” in two weeks and talked about her New Year’s Eve plans and showing off her more adult, sexy side in her latest music video.

Ellen DeGeneres asked Palmer about her NYE plans leading her to share her experience partying with one of her best friend’s dad. “I went to Miami and my friend invited me to his dad’s party, his dad happens to be Diddy,” Palmer said, and that friend is Diddy’s son Justin. Before getting into what happened at the party, Palmer and DeGeneres tried to decipher what is the up to date name to call Diddy, who often goes by Puff, Sean, and many other names.

Keke went on to share the first time she ever went to one of Diddy’s infamous parties. “My first encounter of a Diddy party was his birthday party you guys and I didn’t know what to expect. I don’t do a lot of Hollywood type parties and stuff like that, I usually keep it very low key, but I was like you know what, I’m going to go out and have a good time, and I saw Leonardo DiCaprio and Kanye West dabbing in the corner, I’m like I didn’t even know Leonardo knew that dance.” She went on to talk about her time in Miami.

Later the conversation took a sexy turn as the two talked about Palmer’s “I Don’t Belong To You” music video where the 22-year-old bares much of herself. Palmer said, “I wrote it like in the beginning of starting my album and it was kind of me hitting that transition of understanding, OK you know what, I’m a woman, it’s OK to be sexy and to embrace my sexuality, and my sensuality, and I wanted to depict that in the video as well as in the lyrics,” adding she forgot it would be many people on set shooting, but she got through it.
