Lady Gaga Wins First Golden Globe, Leonardo DiCaprio Wins The Internet

The 2016 Golden Globes was a monumental event for American Horror Story: Hotel actress Lady Gaga. On Sunday, January 10, Gaga won her first Golden Globe award for her role as The Countess in this season’s AHS in the ‘Best Performance By An Actress in a Leading Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television’ category.

This was a first nomination and first win for Lady Gaga given her AHS role was her first critically acclaimed credit. Hotel may not be my favorite season, but Gaga does an amazing job on the show and was so humbled by the experience of Ryan Murphy giving her this shot on his award-winning series; I’m glad she won.

Although Lady Gaga earning this award was a huge moment, another huge moment happened when she went to accept the award all thanks to fellow 2016 Golden Globe winner Leonardo DiCaprio. As Gaga went to accept, she moved through the very packed seating headed to the stage. She bumped into DiCaprio’s chair while he was laughing from a conversation from his table and the reaction he had from the situation took over the internet. All I have to say about that is Leo is one of America’s greatest treasures.
