Dakota Johnson Laughs Off Missed Wardrobe Malfunction With ‘Fifty Shades’ Joke

“Fifty Shades of Grey” actress Dakota Johnson almost faced an embarrassing moment at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards, but laughed it off the best way possible – with a “Fifty Shades” joke.

Leslie Mann and Alison Brie presented the nominations for “Favorite Dramatic Actress” on Wednesday’s live show with Johnson earning the fan voted award. As Johnson walked to stage to accept her award she hugged Mann first when her dress got snagged by Mann’s and almost exposed her chest. She then hugged Brie and when going to the mic to give her acceptance speech she shared with the audience the almost wardrobe malfunction.

“Leslie broke my dress,” the 26-year-old joked, adding, “OK, well it’s not like nobody hasn’t already seen my boobs.”

Of course this was a “Fifty Shades” reference to the wildly popular 2015 Valentine’s Day weekend release. The next films in the trilogy of books turned films, “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed,” won’t be out until 2017 and 2018.
