On Thursday morning, December 10, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Dennis Quaid, America Ferrara, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Angela Bassett were on hand to announce the nominees for the 2016 annual Golden Globe Awards along with Miss Golden Globe Corinne Foxx, daughter of Jamie Foxx. The 73rd celebration is set to premiere in January and the nominations are filled with obvious choices and many well deserved ones.
For me personally, I’m glad to see my beloved Scream Queens got noticed with Jamie Lee Curtis earning a nom for ‘Best Performance in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy Actress.’ It’s also great to see Lady Gaga earn a nom for American Horror Story: Hotel. It may not be my favorite season, but seeing how excited Gaga was for this perfect, first acting experience and to get nominated for it makes me so happy for her. Plus she slays her performance. Other big names like: Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Idris Elba, Amy Schumer, and Jennifer Lawrence all got nominations and shows and films like: American Horror Story: Hotel, “The Hateful Eight,” “Creed,” Empire, and “The Danish Girl” got recognized.
Sunday, January 10 it’s all going down with Ricky Gervais returning as Golden Globes host and Denzel Washington being honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award. Check out all the nominations for the 2016 Golden Globe Awards below and share your thoughts in the comments.
