Jenny from the block came and served the children during the opening of the 2015 American Music Awards, AMAs, on Sunday, November 22. No I don’t usually talk that like, but that’s what that opening performance made me say. It was just that good.
The queen of slayage Jennifer Lopez served as host for the AMAS and opened up the show the best way she knew how – with song and dance. The 46-year-old former Fly Girl started her performance with a mellow rendition of her 1999 track “Waiting For Tonight.” Following the song she kicked up the performance and put to shame dancers half her age as she danced to a medley of songs from nominees of the award show.
Lopez danced to songs like Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda,” Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” and many more.
Throughout the show, JLo stunned in each of her costume changes and shared how it was an honor for her being on the stage hosting transforming from that young girl with a dream from the Bronx.
