Torrance Shipman and the gang are back, at least for a reunion apart of Entertainment Weekly’s 25th anniversary issue/reunion issue.
Kirsten Dunst (Shipman), Gabrielle Union (Isis), Eliza Dushku (Misty Pantone), and Jesse Bradford (Cliff Pantone) got back together 15 years after the original release date of “Bring It On” to take about how the pop culture phenomenon felt from the inside.
“Bring It On” was the teen comedy film about The Toros cheer leading squad road to nationals as a rival squad, The Clovers, had high goals to dethrone the reigning champions. The film that taught us how to “be aggressive, b-e aggressive” spawned several not as loved sequels, a spoof, and multiple references in pop culture throughout the years.
Dunst, Union, Dushku, and Bradford recall getting the news about being cast in the movie, hooking up on set, lines fans say to them and more. “I get a lot of Natina [Reed]’s lines: “Let’s beat these Buffys down,” or “You been touched by an angel, girl,” but I don’t mind,” Union said.
“People want me to do the cheers with them… And “I’ll get the door, Tor” — that’s one of my friends’ favorites,” Dunst recalled.
