The season two premiere of FOX’s hit show Empire returned on Wednesday, Sept. 23, to an anxious audience ready to see where the story picked up for Lucious, Cookie, and the rest of the Lyon family.

On The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Fallon did an impeccable spoof of the series called Jimpire where he played Terrence Howard’s character to a T, right down to the serious, raspy voice. Fallon was passing on The Tonight Show torch and was deciding between Questlove and Black Thought from The Roots along with his “business savoy yet moody show producer Andre.”

Things got really heated when Tonight Show announcer Steve Higgins showed up as Higgy channeling Taraji P. Henson‘s Cookie. The hilarious spoof continued for ten minutes with special guests along the way. You’ll never guess who the Jimpire was passed on to.
