Andy Samberg hosted the 67th Emmy awards on Sunday, September 20 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles honoring the best in television over the past TV show season. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine Golden Globe winner received raved reviews for his first time hosting duties with the three-hour telecast running smoothly with light laughter and harmless hi-jinks.
The award show night was a monumental one for women of color. Viola Davis took home her first Emmy award for How To Get Away With Murder making her the first black woman to win an Emmy for lead actress in a drama series. Regina King won her first Emmy for her role in American Crime. Lastly, Uzo Aduba won an Emmy for her role in Orange Is The New Black with the supporting actress in a drama series award. This makes history because she won this same award last year but in the comedy series category.
Transparent, Veep, and Olive Kitteridge were other big winners of the night with Game of Thrones taking home the big award of the night in outstanding drama.
Congrats to all the winners from the 2015 Emmys. Check out the full list of winners below and share your thoughts in the comments.
