Justin Bieber Explains Emotional VMA Performance + Had Drum Off With Questlove

The man of the hour aka Justin Bieber stopped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last night and practically took over as the “What Do You Mean” singer performed his new single, had a rematch drum off with Questlove of The Roots, and sat down for an interview.

Jimmy Fallon congratulated Bieber on his recent success of the new single, it went to #1 on iTunes in under five minutes after its release, and how he received rave reviews from his 2015 MTV Video Music Awards performance, a moment that made Bieber cry on stage.

He explained how the reaction from the audience was “overwhelming” for him because last time he was on a stage at an award show he was booed. He continued to talk about how hard he worked and how he has grown as a person by removing all the “knuckleheads” in his life.

Later Bieber was challenged to do another drum off with Questlove and he performed “What Do You Mean.”
