The MTV Video Music Awards is known for having highly-talked about moments. Ask anyone from any generation who’s into pop culture and I’m sure they will have a variety of opinions about the biggest moments, but today’s generation can’t deny that after last night’s Kanye West speech during the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award presentation it has to go in the history books. “Listen to the kids bruh.”

Not only did Kanye go on a tangent about what happens when he takes his daughter North to the grocery store, but he talked about meeting Taylor Swift for the first time, when he interrupted her award speech back in 2009, and how that incident haunted him for years. He then went on to discuss brands, art, listening to the kids, and adding icing on the confusing cake he announced he was running for president in 2020. We won’t know if this is really a joke until that time comes but that didn’t stop the internet from creating “Kanye West for President” and Keeping Up With the Kardashian: The White House memes.
