Former Degrassi: The Next Generation Cast Members Adamo Ruggiero and Lauren Collins Reunite To Discuss The Show

Prepare yourself Degrassi fans because we’re about to go there with Paige and Marco.

The long-running teen program Degrassi: The Next Generation is set to retire from cable television but will make a reprise on Netflix in 2016, fingers crossed they bring back all the old episodes. I’m not sure if this is in partner with the Degrassi move, but former cast member Adamo Ruggiero, who played Marco Del Rossi, has an interview series where he is talking to some of the past cast.

On the first Straight Talk with Adamo Ruggiero, real life BFF’s Ruggiero and Lauren Collins, who played Paige Michalchuk, reminisce about their time on the show, memorable moments, and more.

The two first start discussing their ship Parco, or Maige, [Sidenote: a ship is when you put two characters together in a relationship] and the last time they were on scene together. They continued to discuss their characters and stand out moments. For Collins it was when her character Paige got date raped, an episode that very much still sticks me. For Ruggiero is was when his character got gay bashed. The informal interview transitioned from the heavy talk to happier times on set.

Upcoming interviews will bring other former cast members like: Shane Kippel, Miriam McDonald, Stacey Farber, Raymond Ablack, and Jake Epstein to talk about the show.
