“What do you want?” NOT THIS!

Apparently The CW is in development of creating a television series inspired by the Nicholas Sparks iconic romantic novel turned blockbuster, aka every girl’s favorite movie ever, “The Notebook.”

You know the infamous movie starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, the movie that turned that on-screen couple to a real life couple that broke up and we still mourn it, the movie that landed the two a MTV Movie Award for “Best Kiss,” the movie that I quote down in real life, the movie that if turned into a TV show will be the dumbest idea ever.

The series is said to be in the early stages with little detail revealed at the moment. It was however revealed that “the series will follow the romantic journey of young, conflicted couple Noah and Allie at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of racial politics, economic inequities and social mores of the late 1940s in North Carolina.” Umm, we already know what happened to Noah and Allie, no need to relive that pain, especially if Ryan and Rachel aren’t in it, and I highly doubt they would revisit these characters.

Anyway, Sparks will executive produce the series in association Warner Bros. Television. Theresa Park and Todd Graff will also producer the show; Graff will pen the script as well.
