Aw yeah, Aw yeah! It’s time to throwback this Thursday with Lenni Frazier from the 1990’s children’s program Ghostwriter and her best moment ever – the music video for “You Gotta Believe.”
Ghostwriter ran from 1992-1995 and followed a group of young mystery solvers in New York City who received help from a mysterious being they called Ghostwriter who only appeared to them in words and could only communicate that way, but only to the Ghostwriter team. I’m not ashamed to say that I loved this show and when I found this “You Gotta Believe” music video from the show I could recite all the lyrics with no problem.
I don’t remember the context on why this video was made in the show, but it features Lenni Frazier (Blaze Berdahl) rapping about believing in yourself and your dreams with pals Gaby, Hector and Jamal aka Mr. “Boom Shakalaka Boom” (Mayteana Morales, William Hernandez, and Sheldon Turnipseed) as her back up dancers. If this doesn’t take you back I don’t know what will.
Watch the hilarious, yet equally motivating, mock MTV music video premiere of Lenni Frazier’s “You Gotta Believe” below and share your thoughts in the comments.
