After Four Years of Marriage, Country Music Stars Blake Shelton And Miranda Lambert Divorce

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have decided after four years of marriage that they will divorce.

The Country music superstars released a joint statement saying, “This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

The former couple dated for six years before they tied the knot in Texas in 2011. According to TMZ, the two have a prenuptial agreement in place and Shelton was the one to file a petition for divorce. A judge is reportedly set to sign off on the petition Monday since it was filled weeks ago. A financial settlement is agreed upon and property has been divided. Shame to see these two part ways.
